Klinsmann Quits, Joachim Low Becomes New Headcoach
New headcoach of German national team, Joachim Low (L)
On Wednesday former assistant coach Joachim Löw was named as a new headcoach of the German national team. Löw follows Jürgen Klinsmann, who told the German football federation (DFB) on Tuesday, that he will step down from his role as national team coach.

"My big wish is to go back to my family, to go back to leading a normal life with them," the US-based manager said. "But another important reason is that after two years of putting a lot of energy into this, I feel that I lack the power and the strength to continue in the same way.

The first match of the German team after the World Cup 2006 will be played in Gelsenkirchen against Sweden on August 16.
