Post offices to sell plane tickets

Vietnam Post (VNPost) will begin selling airline tickets for Vietnam Airlines and Jetstar Pacific Airlines at 31 provincial and city post offices this month.

The Central Highlands Province of Dak Lak’s post office is one among 31offices to begin selling airline tickets this month

The company, a member of Vietnam Post and Telecommunication (VNPT), will initially provide the service only at localities with airports receiving flights from the two airlines.

VNPost will later broaden ticket sales to other localities.

To sell plane tickets, post offices must train staff and possess adequate equipment including fax machines, telephones, and necessary software, in addition to having Internet capability.
