Hanoi to deploy green buses in old quarter
Eco-friendly vehicles of Mai Linh Corporation used in the Central Highlands city of Dalat

The Hanoi People’s Committee has given the green light to Dong Xuan Company to operate eco-friendly vehicles to carry visitors around the old quarter and Hoan Kiem (Sword) Lake.

The service is set to start on October 10. In the first stage, 12 electric-powered vehicles imported from China at a cost of VND300 million each will begin to operate.

They will charge VND15,000 for a distance of four kilometers and VND25,000 for five kilometers.

Electric-powered cars have been used in Lao Cai, Dalat, and Nha Trang.
