The Vietnam Railways Corp. announces April 7 its new summer vacation fares effective from June 1.

Sleeper class fares from Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City to Nha Trang, Da Nang, Dieu Tri, Vinh, Dong Hoi, and Hue go up by 5 percent.

Hard-seat fares remain unchanged but soft seats cost 5 percent less.

All fares on the Thong Nhat train between Ha Noi and Ho Chi Minh City also remain unchanged.

Passengers who buy tickets 30 days in advance for the peak summer season between June 1 to July 31 will get a discount of 3-5 percent.
