Shanghai Airlines to fly direct to Hanoi

China’s Shanghai Airlines announced Feb. 23 that it would on March 27 launch a direct service between Shanghai and Hanoi, the carrier’s second destination in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh City.

The airline said its Boeing 727-800 aircraft will fly from Shanghai to Hanoi on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays and from Hanoi to Shanghai on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays.

With the new service, Shanghai Airlines will be the only carrier to operate flights between Shanghai and Hanoi.
