Country’s largest airplane maintenance firm inaugurates

The Vietnam Airlines Engineering Company (VAECO) made its debut on Feb. 24, becoming the largest aircraft maintenance service provider in Vietnam.

The company was established by merging the A75 and A76 aircraft repairing enterprises of the national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines under a Prime Minister decision.

It officially started operation on Jan. 1 with a charter capital of VND420 billion, owned by Vietnam Airlines, and more than 2,000 staff members.

VAECO specializes in maintaining and overhauling aircrafts, engines and accessories. It also undertakes agency for aircraft engines and accessories manufacturers and suppliers; designs, manufactures, repairs and improves aircraft and aviation equipments.

It is permitted to export and import airplanes, engines, and aviation materials and accessories, assemble and manufacture aircrafts and engines, and provide aviation technical services.

Besides providing maintenance services to Vietnam Airlines, VAECO targets to offering its services to other regional and world airlines.
