Nam Hai resort gets new head
Herbert Laubichler-Pichler

The Nam Hai has hired Austrian Herbert Laubichler-Pichler as new general manager for the luxury resort in Quang Nam Province on the central coast.

A veteran of the world-renowned GHM hotel management group, Laubichler-Pichler has assumed the his new role after spending three years in the same position at the Saujana in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – another GHM-managed property.

“Herbert has overseen some of the premier properties in the world,” said Rick Mayo-Smith, CEO of Indochina Land, the Nam Hai’s developer. “He’s been instrumental in the success of them all, and we’re confident he will contribute in the same fashion at the Nam Hai.”

Before that Kuala Lumpur job, the Austrian worked in Europe for 20 years, a period that included executive management positions at Annabelle Hotel in Cyprus, Dorint Kongress Hotel in Germany and Hotel Schloss Fuschl in his homeland.

The Nam Hai has operated in just over two years and has established a reputation as one of the hottest resorts in Asia. It has won various international accolades.

Situated on 32 hectares of landscaped tropical gardens overlooking the East Sea, the GHM-managed property features 60 one-bedroom villas and 40 one- to five-bedroom pool villas, as well as many more facilities.
