| Direct Da Nang-Macau Flights on the Way | |
Furama Resort in Da Nang has signed a memorandum of understanding with budget carrier Viva Macau Limited on starting direct flights between the central coast city and Macau in 2007 .
The agreement was signed on October 11 at the Da Nang-Macau Investment and Tourism Promotion seminar, where Furama deputy director and Da Nang Tourism Association chairman Huynh Tan Vinh described it as “a good chance for tourism development”.
At the seminar, the authorities of Da Nang and China’s Macau Special Administrative Region agreed to expand cooperation in several areas of mutual interest.
One of the fruits of the closer ties will be the Vietnamese Cultural Week in Macau in November, where the emphasis will be on what Da Nang can offer tourists and culture buffs.
