Trang An Ninh Binh and PetroVietnam (Vietnam Oil and Gas Group – PVN) on Thursday won their third matches of the HoaLu-SGGP Men’s Volleyball Cup tournament being held in Ninh Binh Province.

On the fourth day of the International Men’s Volleyball Tournament 2010, Hoa Lu-Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper Cup, Trang An Ninh Binh and Sacombank Bien Phong put on a feisty display that had spectators excited. That the team to win would have the opportunity to make it to the finals, gave the match an added edge.

Trang An Ninh Binh won the first set 25/17 only for Sacombank Bien Phong to claim the second at the same score. The match see-sawed throughout, but the former prevailed finally, winning 3-2.

The second match was also a close encounter, although PVN beat the Lao national team in straight sets, with the scores reading 25/22, 25/16, 25/16.

With three wins, PVN and Trang An Ninh Binh have made it to the finals.

Today, PVN and The Cong  will play against Trang An Ninh Binh and Lao respectively. The matches will be broadcast live on VTV3.
