Vietnam Techmart earns $94m

About 2,000 contracts and memoranda for technologies and devices, worth over VND1.7 trillion (US$94 million), were signed at Techmart Vietnam ASEAN+3, the Ministry of Science and Technology said November 13.

Techmart took place between September 17 and 20, with the participation of 49 stalls from Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore, Laos, China, South Korea, and Japan. About 200,000 visitors attended.

Also present at the mart were domestic institutes, universities and science research centers in four main fields, including information technology and communications, power, natural disaster prevention and food processing, as well as ten State-grade science and technology programs with 106 projects.

The ministry had awarded gold cups to the 114 most excellent technologies out of 300,000 items, including technologies, equipment, software and services.
