2007 STC Awards Honor 36 Winning Works

On the evening of April 25, at the Ha Noi Opera House, the Vietnam Science and Technology Association and the Fund for Support to Vietnam’s Technical Creativeness (VIFOTEC) organized the 2007 Viet Nam Scientific and Technical Creation Awards Ceremony.
 
The Awards Ceremony was held in the presence of the Vice Prime Minister, Nguyen Thien Nhan and the representatives from ministries and agencies around Viet Nam.
This year, there were a total of 36 scientific works that received awards in 6 fields, which included 4 first prizes (worth VND30 million), 8 second prizes (worth VND20 million), 11 third prizes (worth VND15 million) and 13 consolation prizes (VND10 million).
 
The 4 first prizes were awarded to the shipbuilding industry, mining industry, medical and pharmaceutical industries. On the night, the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) also gave WIPO Prizes to the research into the saving of energy, using new energy in the field of technology and to a female winner who has done research in the field of biology, serving reproduction and living exploration.
