FabSolve, LLC, a provider of design based metrology (DBM) software for the semiconductor industry and a strategic development partner of DolSoft Inc., has just announced that it has been acquired by KLA-Tencor Corporation.

FabSolve's geographical information systems (GIS) database structure as applied to Integrated Circuit (IC) design databases is used as a reference for accurately locating and classifying defects that otherwise might avoid classification using traditional methods," stated Paul Proctor, President of FabSolve, LLC.

Many of the core technology components utilized within FabSolve's software were created by DolSoft Inc. and assigned to FabSolve in connection with DolSoft's incubation of, and continuing development relationship with, FabSolve.
