| Portal for Viet Nam’s Diplomatic Missions Makes Debut | |
The website at www.vnembassy.net, which provides links to the ones of Ministry of Foreign Affair and the government’s 75 Vietnamese diplomatic missions in foreign countries, was inaugurated in Ha Noi today.
The government websites are written in many languages including Vietnamese, English, Chinese, French and Spanish and each contains six categories: foreign affair news; bilateral relations between Viet Nam and other countries; diplomacy; knowledge about Viet Nam’s history, culture, economy and society; information about incentive policies for foreign investors; and information about the diplomatic mission.
In addition, visitors can access the website of Viet Nam’s embassy or consulate general at any given country by using the formula: www.vnembassy-“name of the country”.org
Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Mr. Pham Gia Khiem, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, said that the website is geared towards the propaganda of the Communist Party and the government’s foreign affairs, as well as toward popularizing Viet Nam among other countries.
He also added that the website is a forum where questions about foreign affairs will be answered.
Websites of other diplomatic missions are being finalized for addition within the www.vnembassy.net portal. |
