| Harry Potter 5 in Cinemas August 24 | |
The Vietnamese premier of the fifth Harry Potter film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, will take place at the Galaxy Nguyen Trai Cinema on August 24.
The theater will be decorated and transformed into Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for the enjoyment of more than 500 participants, according to the Thien Ngan Film Studio, the new film’s sole distributor in Viet Nam.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix broke ticket sales records worldwide in its first week of screenings. It charmed its way to the top of the global box office and has become the biggest film of 2007.
“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the last volume of the Harry Potter series, went on sale simultaneously worldwide at 7:30 am on July 21.
Fahasa Book Distribution Company of HCMC, Harry Potter’s sole distributor in Viet Nam, has signed a contract with Bloomsbury Publishing PLC, Rowling’s British publisher, for importation rights for copies of Harry Potter VII into Viet Nam, flying copies in from England while ensuring tight copyright security throughout the process.
The Youth Publishing House and the Christopher Little Literary Agency, Rowling’s British publisher, have reached an agreement on translating the children’s edition into Vietnamese. Translated as before by writer Ly Lan, the local version is scheduled for release in mid-October.
