The November 28 frost combined with yesterday’s weather has caused much damage to vegetable production in Sa Pa – a frontier town and district in the Lao Cai province.

In Bac Ha district, temperatures hovered around 5ºC.

The frost is expected to lift after this morning, the center announced.

Temperatures also dropped in the Red River Delta provinces, said the Central Hydrometeorology Forecast Center.

Hai Phong, Viet Tri and Ha Noi recorded temperatures between 12-13ºC.

Temperatures in Son La and Lai Chau reached a maximum of 6ºC.

The cold weather continues today in the north, the center said.
