| Buddhist Monastery to be Built | |
The ground-breaking ceremony of Buddhist Monastery Minh Dang Quang was held by the Management Committee of Ho Chi Minh City Buddhist Sangha on May 5.
The work is built over an area of 37,000 square meters in An Phu Ward, District 2, including a four-storey sanctuary and a basement, Buddha statue in the open air, which is 32 meters in height and 30 meters in width, and four nine-storey towers of 37 meters in height.
The estimated capital reached VND100 billion, donated by local and overseas Buddhists. Once completed, this unique work will be a typical architectural work of Bhikshus faction in Viet Nam, decorating the city’s gateway. |
