Walk for children raises VND600 million

More than 10,000 people attended a charity walk for poor and homeless children held by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union, the Red Cross and Techcombank on September 20 in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.

The walk, ‘Chia se uoc mo tuoi tho’ (Sharing childhood dreams), raised VND600 million to a fund for disadvantaged pupils and homeless children.

On the same day, the organizers also gave scholarships to 30 disadvantaged outstanding pupils.

Earlier, a festival for poor pupils and homeless children was held at Reunification Palace in Ho Chi Minh City.
