Saigon Crocodile Village, a joint venture between Hoa Ca Crocodile Co. and Xuan Loc Cooperative, began a five-year course at the beginning of August to train craftspeople in making products from crocodile skin.

Students will also work as trainees at the village in District 12.

The village has trained 40 craftspeople and produces more than 500 kinds of products, including shoes, wallets, hand bags, and belts.

Of the 20,000 crocodiles farmed at the village, 600 are breeding animals.
