More than 4,000 volunteers are helping dredge the Long Van and Cau Son canals in Ho Chi Minh City’s Binh Thanh District and improve the landscape along the Saigon River as part of a campaign that started on June 27.

They will implement programs to improve awareness of environmental protection and administrative procedures among the public and workers at processing and industry zones.

They will also help prevent motobike racing, donate blood,
build 10 houses for poor people, and help 60 poor people get free eye surgery.
