Singers and dancers from Viet Nam and the Republic of Korea performed together in Ho Chi Minh City yesterday evening to mark the 16th anniversary of the establishment of the two countries' diplomatic relations.

The program in Lan Anh Club was initiated by the RoK-Viet Nam Media Ltd. Co in coordination with "The Present", a RoK non-governmental organization.

Some VND80 million (US$5,000) raised from the show will be used to grant scholarships to Vietnamese orphans and support poor families of Vietnamese women who got married to RoK men.

Participating are Miss RoK 2004 Han Kyung Jin, singer Tess Korean, MC Chi Sun Kyu and popular Vietnamese singer Lam Truong.
