A dozen movies from the European Union will be screened for the first-ever Children’s Film Festival in Viet Nam later this month.
The 12 feature and animated films from Belgium, Britain, Denmark, France, Finland, Germany, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic will be shown in Ha Noi from May 17 to 24 and Ho Chi Minh City from May 21 to 31.
Children of all ages are apt to enjoy the cinema and often learn something from films, said Mr. Markus Cornaro, Ambassador-Head of the Delegation of the European Commission to Viet Nam. “The film festival aims to entertain, educate and inspire children of all ages,” he added.
The event is part of the cultural activities for the “Europe Days 2007” program celebrating the 50th anniversary of the European Union. Free tickets are available at the Mega star Cineplex and Vincom Towers in Ha Noi and the New Galaxy Cinema at 230 Nguyen Trai Street in Ho Chi Minh City.
All films will be screened in two sessions with Vietnamese dubbing.
