World-leading publishing house Macmillan has presented the “Most Creative Bookseller Asia in 2007” title to Viet Nam’s Phuong Nam Corp. (PNC).

PNC distributed more than 180,000 copies of Macmillan books valuded at some VND3 billion (US$185,000), a threefold increase over 2006. It is estimated that PNC’s anuual turnover from distributing foreign books will be VND100 billion (US$6 million) by 2010.

Representatives of Macmillan’s distributors, including PNC, Pan Macmillan, Macmillan USA, Palgrave Macmillan, Macmillan Education, Murdoch Books, Guinness World Records and others, will travel to Thailand’s Phuket for a meeting at the Indigo Pearl Resort over February 14-15.

It is an opportunity for counterparts to share experience in widening their businesses and cooperation, aside from getting whaled in a bright new tan.
