Vietnam is set to become the sixth member of the Asian Fashion Federation at its annual meeting to be held in Hanoi on November 22, said Le Quoc An, chairman of the Vietnam Textile and Apparel Association.
This year’s meeting, themed “Asian Fashion-A World Fashion Class Hub,” will feature special collections by designers from the six member-countries at a ceremony that will be broadcast live on Vietnam television’s channels 9 and 4.
The Asian Fashion Federation was established in 2002 following an agreement between Japan, Korea, and China. Singapore and Thailand joined up in 2007 and 2008. |
