Ho Chi Minh city Circus performers win gold

A performance entitled “Strength of Hands” by two performers from the Ho Chi Minh city Circus was honored with a gold medal in a circus talent contest held in Hanoi on October 11.

The contest saw the participation of 64 young circus performers from Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.

The competitors, aged 16-25, dazzled audiences with 21 acts including acrobatics and juggling.

Host Vietnam had 35 circus performers in the contest with 12 acts, while 14 performers were from Cambodia and 15 others from Laos.

In total, the Organizing Board awarded one gold medal, two silver medals and three bronze medals to performers.

The four-day Indochina Circus Talent competition, held for the first time in Hanoi, was jointly organized by the Performing Arts Department, the Vietnam Stage Artist Association and the Vietnam Circus and Variety Arts College.
