The bronze statue.

Sculpted by Luu Danh Thanh, the 13-ton statue depicting the warrior king on horseback brandishing his sword is placed on a pedestal elaborately engraved with flower patterns.

The work is considered a local landmark for Quy Nhon City, homeland of Hero Nguyen Hue.

Artist Thanh also cast another cement statue of King Quang Trung which has been placed there since 1976.

Earlier on January 19, the Binh Dinh Department of Culture and Information received a bronze censer to be placed at the Tay Son Temple in the province’s Quang Trung Museum in Tay Son District.

The 2.1x1.2m thurible is 2.9m tall, weighs 4 tons and took artisans from the Yen Xa trade village in Nam Dinh Province six months to finish.
