Yesterday, at the Ha Noi Department of Culture and Information, the Thang Long Antique Association organized an exhibition called “Antiquarian’s Spring Festival” to display and auction 1,370 rare and valuable antiques owned by collectors nationwide.
The antiques on display include an undamaged Dong Son bronze drum, Dong Son weapons, bronze objects made between 1st – 3rd centuries, pottery bowls produced dynasties of Ly, Tran and Le, ancient bronze mirrors and other ancient stone articles owned by collectors from Ha Noi and provinces of Nam Dinh, Thanh Hoa, Hai Phong and Thai Binh.

According to the Organizational Board, it will put aside VND40 million (US$2,502) from the proceeds of the auction to help the poor to celebrate the New Year Festival (Tet) next month.
