| Miss Viet Nam 2008 to be Held in UNESCO-listed Hoi An |

The final round of Miss Viet Nam 2008 will be held at the Hoai River Square, in the ancient town of Hoi An from 10-30th August 2008, according to the organisation board of the beauty contes t.
This is the peak tourist season and falls in the month of sea tourism as well as a renowned annual event in Viet Nam – the Japan cultural festival.
Hence, the pageant is expected to attract a large number of visitors, said Mr. Duong Xuan Nam, head of the organization board.
A 5,000 seat floating stage will be built on an area of more than 800 square meters for the grand finale, added Mr. Tran Minh Ca, deputy chairman of the People’s Committee of the central province of Quang Nam.
Hoi An has been recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its centuries-old structures and temples. |
