Miss Sports Viet Nam Returns

After a seven-year break, the Miss Sports Viet Nam beauty contest will be held at Ha Noi’s My Dinh National Sports Complex in October.

Contestants in the fifth pageant must be single, childless Vietnamese women aged 16-26 who are over 160 cm tall, have at least a high school education and have never had cosmetic surgery or a sex change.

The compulsory categories are national costume, sportswear and bathing suit, behavior, knowledge of sport, especially performing exercises on the apparatus, aerobics, dance sport or martial arts.

The winner will get a cash prize of VND50 million, the first runner-up will get VND30 million and the second runner-up VND20 million. The contestants will also vie for the minor titles of Miss Photo, Best Body, Best Sport Costume and Intelligent Manners.

The first Miss Sports Viet Nam was held in 1993 and won by Nguyen Kim Oanh. After her came Nguyen Thu Huong in 1995, Tran Hoang Anh in 1997 and Nguyen Hong Ha in 2000.

This year’s organizers are the Viet Nam Sport Union and the newspaper Viet Nam Sport.

To enter, apply through the local sports department or the Service and Event Organizing Center of Viet Nam Sport on the fourth floor of the OCD Building, 29 De La Thanh Street, Dong Da District, Ha Noi by August 15.
