The five-star Caravelle Hotel Saigon has re-opened its fitness center after a US$120,000 investment in new equipment manufactured by US company Star Trac.
“We want our fitness center to rank as the single best place in Ho Chi Minh City for a workout,” John Gardner, general manager of the hotel, told reporters on June 25. “That’s why we now keep the center open 24 hours a day, and it’s why we’ve invested in the new Star Trac machinery.”
He added many of the Caravelle guests come from time zones different from Vietnam time and the fitness center, which is always open, can help them get rid of jet lag.

Last September, the Caravelle opened the doors on its 128-square-meter fitness center to in-house guests everyday round the clock. Now, the new Star Trac package here includes elevating treadmills embedded with televisions, body trainers, upright bikes, a recumbent bike and a stepper. The two body trainers are also new fitness options at the Caravelle.
Star Trac is delivering more equipment. Meanwhile, the hotel is offering promotion for full year gym membership for US$1,400++ plus two-night complimentary stay in deluxe room for two persons on weekends; and half year membership for US$800++ with one-night complimentary stay in deluxe room for two persons on weekends.
In related news, the five-star hotel Park Hyatt Saigon, also in Ho Chi Minh City, has announced a discount of up to 20% of its daily rate.
The offer is valid for a limited time at participating Hyatt hotels and resorts worldwide until early September. |
