Ramana hotel welcomes back sales director
Jeffrey Koh

The Ramana Hotel Saigon has appointed Singaporean national Jeffrey Koh as new director of sales and marketing, his post in the past when the hotel was called Amara Saigon.

Koh has worked in Vietnam since 2001 with Sofitel Plaza Hanoi,
Amara Saigon, Sofitel Vinpearl, and Duxton Hotel.

Regarding the Ramana Hotel’s sales target this year and next year, he says, “With the current economic slowdown worldwide, we intend to maintain the status quo as last year and hope that the market will turn around soon.”

The four-star hotel changed its name Amara in 2008 following the hotel’s ownership transfer.

Comparing his former post with the current one, Koh says, “Working for the Amara Hotel then was a different perspective based on the few factors that affected the market segmentation. Now, the Ramana Hotel intends to be a business-class hotel offering international quality standard accommodation, banqueting, food and beverage to leisure and corporate guests. We work with all channels of business sources, both local and abroad.”
