Vietnam last year attracted more than 180,000 foreign tourists travelling to Vietnam by sea. The number of foreign tourists using Saigontourist Co totaled 180,000 guests, a six-fold increase compared to 2007.

A cruise liner visits Vietnam

Saigontourist Co. increased its service to foreign travelers by 85% compared with 2007.

Currently five cruise liners are moored at HCM City, Da Nang and Ha Long port: SuperStar Virgo, SuperStart Libra, SuperStar Quarius and Costa Allegra.
 
Foreigners love the ocean and enjoy Vietnam’s natural, unspoiled beauty, romantic beaches and unique cultures, particularly Hue, Da Nang, Ha Long, Hoi An, My Tho and Mekong Delta.

According to Vietnam National Administration of Tourism the number of three and five star hotels in Vietnam accelerated in 2008 compared with 2007.

There are currently 10,400 hotels and lodgings, with over 207,000 rooms, including 31 five-star hotels (8,196 rooms), 90 four-star hotels (10,950 rooms), and 175 three-star hotels (12,524 rooms) nationwide. Meanwhile, 2007 nationwide had more than 8,000 hotels, with 170,000 rooms, including 25 five-star hotels, 64 four-star hotels and 135 three-star hotels.
