Gold Price Slightly Increased on March 10

Saigon Jewelry Holding Co. (SJC) gold price increased VND130,000 a tael (1.3 ounces) from a day earlier to VND10.61 million (roughly US$668) per tael on March 10.

However, on the global market, the gold price slipped to US$544 an ounce, down by nearly US$10 compared with that of Wednesday.

The domestic price was still around 200,000 VND per tael lower than the world level.

Many bankers in Viet Nam attributed the slight rise to the high demand of gold material by jewelry producers in many international markets including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and the biggest gold consumer market of India in their wedding season.
